They work differently.
Wealthy people use the “70 percent rule.” They manage work and avoid doing the job.
The
natural tendency at work is to start doing rather than delegating.
Wealthy people keep reminding themselves that their job is to manage,
not to do everything themselves.
A good tip I learned is this:
You should not be working on tasks that are simple and routine that can be done by someone else. Some call it the “70 percent rule.”
If someone can do the job 70% as good as you, delegate the task to that person. This habit will free yourself up to do those tasks that only you can do.
Delegating
can be really hard, but it’s key to achieve growth. It’s a messy
process but those who help you will grow and eventually will do the job
better than you. When you achieve this, you will be in a whole new
level.
This is a very important form of leverage that I often write about in my answers:
- Other people’s time.
- Other people’s talents.
- Other people’s technical expertise.
