You need to develop your Entrepreurial mindset.
You
need to read books, get into seminars and get a mentor but I suggest
you may start teaching yourself how to analyze and understand each
business that you have contact with mastering the following tools:
- Understand the business model by mastering how to use the business model canvas.
- Analyze the business SWOT: Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats
There's
too much to learn because entrepreneurship is more an art than an exact
science. But mastering these analysis is a great way to get started.
Once you see the world as an entrepreneur you can't change it. It may take time, but start working on it.
This is who I am. Its my default. It's my natural state 24/7:
- I don't see my job as work, I see opportunity.
- I don't think about the short term, I'm searching for opportunities on the long run.
- Everywhere I go, I'm analyzing businesses. It's just part of my natural way of seeing the world. It's an everyday thing in my mind.
- I think how to create a business that works for me, I don't want to work for the business.
- I evaluate the amount of leverage the business can provide me. Other people's time, other people's money, technological advantages.
- I will never sell my time.
- Its a never ending ongoing education. Every single day I'm eager to learn from other people, books, online videos or seminars. Its my #1 investment.
