Each
year Fast Company releases a list of the World’s most innovative
companies by sector. One of the sectors covered by Fast Company is
Africa.
Here is the Fast Company list of the most innovative African companies in 2018:
- mPharma - an integrated drug monitoring system that connects hospitals, patients and pharmacies to cloud-based software
- Farmerline - a social enterprise aimed at improving the fortunes of farmers by bridging IT with agriculture
- Zoona - a carrier agnostic mobile payment solution for the “unbanked”
- M-Kopa Solar - a solar energy company that provides clean, safe and sustainable energy alternatives
- African Parks - an environmental conservation nonprofit that manages 12 national parks across the continent
- Moringa School - a tech accelerator offering a low-cost coding boot camp, giving rising developers the skills they need to enter the booming tech workforce
- Twiga Foods - is a mobile-based supply platform for Africa’s retail outlets, kiosks, and market stalls
- BRCK - a start up that makes a connectivity device that allows users to connect to Wi-Fi anywhere in Africa simply by inserting a 3G Sim card
- Flutterwave - a digital payment API that provides technology, infrastructure and services, enabling global merchants, payment service providers and banks to accept and process payments on any channel
- Internet of Elephants - is a crowdfunding social enterprise that uses games and social media to attract audiences to wildlife conservation.
